Streets of Afghanistan Pop Up Exhibition
This was a traveling pop-up installation I created to bring public art exhibitions to Afghanistan. I curated the images from Afghan and international photographers and had them blown up life sized on collapsible frames so that they could travel as a 40 piece installation. Photographers included: The late Paula Lerner, Paula Bronstein, Mariam Alimi, Najibullah Musafer, Tony Di Zinno, Beth Wald, Wakil Kohsar, Travis Beard, and Gulbiddin.
Frisco Main Street Black Lives Matter Mural: Artists at Work and View of the Final Mural
July 13, 2020 I coordinate the installation of the first Black Lives Matter mural in a mountain community to bring awareness of the racism in the outdoor industry and within mountain communities. 13 Colorado based artists joined me in created murals within the mural, each taking on a different letter to create a piece of art that represented themselves as BIPOC individuals, or their relationship to nature and the outdoors, or their connection within the mountain communities. Side by side, artists worked with community members to create a road mural to inspire and to challenge, as all great public art should.
